International Accreditation

Accreditation bodies register that our units have national and international standards.

Accreditation is one of the systems that reveals that the departments of a university have performance standards such as quality, efficiency and effectiveness at national and international level, and therefore aims to establish confidence in those who demand those university departments. Hacettepe University Hospitals are internationally accredited, as well as the quality of education in departments at Hacettepe University, which is one of the leading universities in Turkey in terms of these standards.

  • Hacettepe Faculty of Dentistry Pre-Graduate Dentistry Education has been accredited by the European Dental Association-Association for Dental Education for Europe (ADEE) and has been entitled to use the Faculty ADEE logo.
  • Hacettepe University Hospitals, which have the “General Hospitals” accreditation, have been re-accredited by JCI (Joint Commission International) under the name of “Academic Medical Center Hospital Standards”. Hacettepe Hospitals, which is the first public hospital in Turkey accredited by JCI in this context, managed to be accredited for the fourth time until 2021, maintaining its title as the only public university hospital, based on JCI’s new version 6 standard.
  • Faculty of Literature, Department of Translation and Interpretation has been accepted as a member of CIUTI (Conference Internationale Permanente d’Instituts Universitaires de Traducteurs et Interpretes International Permanent Conference of Translation and Interpreting Organizations).
  • Faculty of Education, Preschool Teaching and Guidance and Psychological Counseling Departments have been accredited by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Education Faculties Education Programs (EPDAD) until 2022.
  • The Electrical and Electronics Engineering department of the Faculty of Engineering has the international ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accreditation.
  • Computer, Industry, Physics, Food, Geology, Hydrogeology, Chemistry, Mining, Nuclear Energy and Automotive Engineering departments of the Faculty of Engineering have been accredited by MÜDEK and have been awarded the EUR-ACE Bachelor (European Accreditation of Engineering Programs) label.
  • English and Turkish undergraduate programs of the Faculty of Medicine have been accredited by UTEAK until 2023.
  • Faculty of Medicine English and Turkish Medical Education Programs have been accredited by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation (TEPDAD) until 2023.
  • Faculty of Pharmacy has been accredited by the Association for Evaluation of Pharmacy Education and Programs (ECZAKDER) until 2021.
  • Faculty of Science, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics and Actuarial departments have been accredited by FEDEK (Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Teaching Programs of Science, Literature, Science-Literature, Language and History-Geography Faculties) until 2021.
  • Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Occupational Therapy has been accredited by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Health Sciences Education Programs (FEDEK) until 2023.
  • Faculty of Nursing has been accredited by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Nursing Education Programs (HEPDAK) until 30.09.2020.
  • Faculty of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Undergraduate Program has been accredited for the first time in Turkey by the World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT) for 5 years until 2025.
  • Health Sciences Institute doctoral programs have been accredited with the ORPHEUS label, fulfilling all the requirements in the “Basic Requirements” and “Quality Improvement” headings of ORPHEUS, the European Doctoral Organization in Biomedicine and Health Sciences.
  • Hacettepe University Faculty of Science’s Actuarial Sciences, Biology, Statistics, Chemistry and Mathematics undergraduate programs were organized by FEDEK (Science, Literature, Science-Literature, Language and History-Geography Faculties Curriculum Evaluation and Accreditation Association) between 09 May 2021 – 30 September 2023. has been accredited.
