Hacettepe University is one of the most successful research universities in our country. Hacettepe researchers have implemented many research projects in collaboration with successful researchers from national and international organizations.

Hacettepe University ranks first among all state and foundation universities in our country in terms of the number of research articles, which is the most important output of scientific research. Many academicians who have been awarded by institutions such as TÜBİTAK and TÜBA work at Hacettepe University.

Our university faculty members have won 62 TUBITAK Incentives, 17 TUBITAK Science, 7 TUBITAK Community Service, 2 TWAS awards and a total of 88 TUBITAK awards. In addition, he was deemed worthy of 13 TÜBA GEBIP awards and 1 BAGEP award. In addition, faculty members of our university have received more than 50 prestigious awards such as UNESCO, Vehbi Koç, Sedat Simavi, L’Oreal Woman of Science, Eczacıbaşı and Novartis awards. In addition, 15 of our faculty members are recipients of the Hacettepe Science Award.

Academicians of our university also undertake managerial or consultancy duties in important institutions that direct science and technology in our country. Hacettepe academic staff also held senior management positions in national and international professional/scientific non-governmental organizations.

Hacettepe, which is in the second place in terms of the number of publications and first in terms of the number of citations in Turkey, has been in the first place since 1980 when the university h-index, which indicates the quality of publication, is taken into account. Hacettepe University, which has 17 names among 180 successful Turkish scientists with a university h-index of over 30, is by far the top of the list.
